Embrace Your Faith Fostered by Community

  We have experienced God working through us in our work in our community. For instance, we know that Terre Haute is an aging community that has many needs.  St. Mark UCC has been working to be a part of meeting our community in the midst of its need by financially supporting local township trustees, supporting a laundry ministry, and providing food for a local food pantry. 
 
 We are also excited about the possibilities provided by the shared ministry agreement with Trinity Lutheran Church.  We hope this leads to new outreach efforts that make a significant impact  on the needs of our community.  Of course, we are excited about sharing a full-time pastor, but we might be even more excited about the chance to work together outside of the walls of our congregations.

 We are currently in the discernment process (ministerial transition). Therefore we are actively exploring shared ministry and mission that connects with our community. We have several strengths that will help us accomplish this work with God's help.  We own a large building with space for worship, Christian education, community meetings, and events.  Our openness to change and ability to balance traditional and progressive points of view, allow us to be a good partner with other congregations in shared mission work.
